Designed by African American architect Julian F. Abele and first opened in 1927, Baldwin Auditorium is located on Duke’s East Campus. With its excellent acoustics and intimate setting, Baldwin hosts artists who require little or no amplification such as classical soloists and ensembles, vocal ensembles, and small jazz ensembles.
